  • Any applicable federal, provincial, state, or local taxes, duties, or import fees on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

7.Winner Selection

On or about July 6, 2026, GroundedAI will conduct a random draw from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period to select one (1) potential Grand Prize winner and up to five (5) potential Runner-Up winners. The draw will take place at GroundedAI's offices, or remotely, under the supervision of GroundedAI staff.

Winners will be announced by email to the address provided on the entry form and, subject to Section 10, on GroundedAI's LinkedIn page and other GroundedAI marketing channels.

Odds of winning: The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

8.Skill-Testing Question

Before being declared a winner, each potential winner will be required, as a condition of receiving any prize, to correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question administered by GroundedAI. This step is required under section 206 of the Criminal Code of Canada to make the contest a lawful contest of mixed chance and skill. If the potential winner fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question, or fails to respond within the timeframe specified by GroundedAI, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner may be selected from the remaining eligible entries.

9.Notification and Verification

The steps in this Section 9 are required to verify each winner's identity and eligibility, to satisfy Canadian contest-law requirements, and to protect both the winner and GroundedAI in the event of any dispute about the contest or the prize.

Each potential winner will be contacted by GroundedAI at the work email address provided on their entry form within ten (10) business days of the draw. Each potential winner must:

  • respond to the notification within five (5) business days;
  • correctly answer the skill-testing question described in Section 8;
  • sign and return a short Declaration and Release confirming eligibility, compliance with these rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded, the publicity choices described in Section 10, and releasing GroundedAI from claims arising from the contest or the prize, in the form provided by GroundedAI;
  • confirm in writing that the nominated project site is an active or imminent project that they have authority to nominate, and that the engagement, if delivered, would be a new engagement and not a substitution for an existing GroundedAI order; and
  • enter into GroundedAI's standard scanning engagement agreement and mutual non-disclosure agreement prior to mobilization.

If a potential winner cannot be reached, fails to respond, fails the skill-testing question, refuses to sign the Declaration and Release, or is otherwise found to be ineligible, the prize will be forfeited and GroundedAI may, in its sole discretion, select an alternate potential winner from the remaining eligible entries.

10.Publicity

By accepting a prize, each winner agrees that GroundedAI and its affiliates may, without additional compensation, identify the winner by name, job title, and employer in announcements, case studies, photographs, video, and other marketing content describing the engagement and its outcomes, in any media now known or later developed, worldwide, in perpetuity, subject to the winner's reasonable prior review of identifying details and the terms of the parties' mutual non-disclosure agreement.

Site location and site-specific details: GroundedAI will not disclose the specific name, geographic location, coordinates, or other identifying details of the winner's project site in any public-facing materials without the winner's separate, express written consent. Public references to the project site will be generic by default (for example, "a North American hard-rock mining operation"). The winner may grant additional disclosure consent at any time, and may revoke that additional consent at any time on a go-forward basis.

Optional full anonymity: A winner who does not wish their name, employer, or job title to be publicly identified may, at GroundedAI's reasonable discretion, be referred to generically throughout all public-facing materials. A request for full anonymity must be made in writing as part of the Declaration and Release.

11.Privacy and Use of Personal Information

GroundedAI will collect, use, and disclose personal information submitted in connection with this contest in accordance with applicable privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada), equivalent provincial privacy legislation where applicable, and, for entrants in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the EU General Data Protection Regulation and equivalent local legislation.

Personal information submitted on the entry form will be used to:

  • administer the contest, including verifying eligibility, contacting potential winners, and awarding prizes;
  • cross-check entries against GroundedAI's active customer list as described in Section 3; and
  • contact entrants regarding their potential interest in GroundedAI products and services, only where the entrant has provided express consent under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation ("CASL") and applicable equivalent legislation via a separate, optional opt-in on the entry form.

Entry into the contest does not, by itself, constitute consent to receive commercial electronic messages from GroundedAI. Entrants may withdraw consent or request access to or correction of their personal information at any time by contacting sales@groundedai.com.

Personal information collected through the entry form will be processed by GroundedAI in Canada and may be stored or processed by GroundedAI's service providers in other jurisdictions, including the United States. The full GroundedAI Privacy Policy is available at groundedai.com/privacy-policy.

12.Disqualification and Fraud

GroundedAI reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant or void any entry that it believes has tampered with the entry process, has acted in violation of these rules, has provided false or misleading information, has used multiple identities or email addresses, or has otherwise acted in bad faith. Any attempt to deliberately damage the contest website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and will result in disqualification.

13.Limitation of Liability

By entering, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless GroundedAI, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and successors from any and all claims, damages, losses, or liabilities of any kind arising out of or in connection with: (i) the entrant's participation in the contest; (ii) the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize; (iii) any travel or activity in connection with the acceptance or use of any prize; (iv) any errors, omissions, or technical malfunctions in the entry mechanism; or (v) any unauthorized human or non-human intervention in the contest.

GroundedAI is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, illegible, incomplete, or undeliverable entries; failures of the entry form or contest website; or any other technical or human error that may prevent an entrant from participating.

Nothing in these rules limits any liability that cannot be limited by applicable law.

14.Modification, Suspension, or Termination

GroundedAI reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond GroundedAI's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest, subject to any approvals required under applicable law. Material changes to these rules will be posted on the contest landing page.

15.Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This contest is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Each entrant irrevocably attorns to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia in respect of any dispute arising from or in connection with this contest, subject to any non-waivable rights an entrant may have under the laws of their place of residence.

This contest is void where prohibited by law.

16.Quebec Residents

This contest is not open to residents of the Province of Quebec. Publicity contests held in Quebec are subject to the Loi sur les loteries, les concours publicitaires et les appareils d'amusement, which requires advance filing with, and the payment of duties to, the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux. GroundedAI has elected not to file this contest in Quebec for this campaign cycle and accordingly excludes Quebec residents from eligibility.

17.Official Rules

These Official Contest Rules are the complete and exclusive statement of the terms of this contest. In the event of any inconsistency between these rules and any other contest communication (advertising, social media, landing-page summaries, etc.), these rules shall prevail.
